EFCC acting chairman, Ibrahim Magu suspended – FG
The federal government of Nigeria has today announced the suspension of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC acting chairman Ibrahim Magu, after he was arrested by the Department of State Service, DSS officials over alleged criminal act.
According to news men at BBC news, Magu spent his night in a police cell at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Headquarters in Abuja.
It was accompanied by a six hour grilling by a presidential commission, led by Justice Ayo Salami, a former Court of Appeal member.
At the request of the Federation’s Minister of Justice and Attorney General, Abubakar Malami, and the Department of State Service (DSS), President Buhari set up a panel to investigate various allegations leveled against Magu.
