Guendouzi of Arsenal ready to quit club following training ban

According to The Athletic, Matteo Guendouzi has been training alone for the last two weeks and when the transfer window opens Arsenal is open to pass him on.
France’s under-21 side, which hasn’t made a match-day squad since Brighton’s 2-1 loss, has gained Mikel Arteta ‘s wrath since the turn of the year after a string of bust-ups.

In the summer of 2018, Guendouzi was signed on a tip from Sven Mislintat from Lorient and new manager Unai Emery shocked everyone by driving him straight into the first team action.

The midfielder initially thrived and in its debut season went on to make 48 appearances.

He proceeded to be a leading figure in the starting lineup until December, receiving two call-ups on the way to France’s senior squad. Since Emery’s sacking things have gone dramatically downhill.

The 21-year-old had completed 90 minutes on only three occasions under Arteta. A big disagreement at the training camp of the club in Dubai and his training actions have been cited as factors.

How Guendouzi is granted a final chance to save his Arsenal career remains to be seen. If he can prove to the manager that he can meet the required expectations, then maybe he can. Possibly so? It would seem unlikely.

In addition, the urge to cash in on a young player, for whom there will undoubtedly be suitors, would be tough to resist, despite our financial situation.
