Jaybytee ready to redefine music in dancehall

The music industry in Nigeria is set to explode once again as another fast-rising dancehall singer and songwriter, Obiajulu Kachikwuru Okeyokafor, better known as Jaybytee is out with his dancehall music, in the midst of Covid-19 Pandemic.

According to industry observers, the vibes are in a class of their own, since no such quality of lyrics and production is currently found anywhere in the country.

He’s “out to redefine the dancehall genre,” according to the wonder boy from the east of Nigeria whose genre is currently shaking the airwave of the country and sending music lovers crazy.

Jaybytee, an indigenous of Anambra State, was born on 21 January 1994 and raised in various parts of Eastern Nigeria. He began his music career in underground collaboration with other up-and – coming artists while at the seminary where he was enrolled by his father with the hope of becoming a reverend father.

After graduating from the seminary his parents later moved to Lagos. He did a song with Kidco called “Kolo” in 2011, and in 2016 he did another song called “Thank you Lord” ft reggae dancehall artist, S.B Mogom, which gained massive airplay worldwide.

His recent music, “Wayo” ft Wale Kwame, is now a club bang delighting music lovers all over the world. Jaybytee whose passion for music knows no limits is undoubtedly one of African continent’s most talented emerging stars.
