LUME launches remote-based music distribution company

Level Up Media and Entertainment (LUME)

A music distribution company, LUME has established an idea for music stakeholders in a bid to redefine music distribution and ensure a smooth delivery to artists and record labels in Nigeria and around the world.

The idea was initiated by two young businessmen who are the company’s co-founders, Emeka Stephen Uzoka and Ifeanyichukwu Paul Afor.

“Musicians are helping the blogs drive more traffic that helps the bloggers to generate funds while the Artiste is left empty.

This spurred me and my partner Paul Afor to consider a remedy that would work and help musicians make money out of their songs including song writers”.

LUME is the first ever remote-based music distribution company in Nigeria and Africa, according to co-founder Paul Afor, likely with the goal of hiring over one thousand direct and indirect workers in Nigeria and Africa as a whole over the next five years.

“The world is now a global village and with very good marketing, it’s easy for music and news to circulate and this is the aspect we’ve added to make a difference in the entertainment sector. LUME ‘s dictionary does not address the issue of not being transparent about the revenue an artist makes from his / her song.

We have built-in streams and download counters that are shown on every artist dashboard to let you know what money you’ve made so far, and we’re also working to set up our own streaming platform by next year.

The streaming platform is already making tremendous progress in the tech lab and aiming to fully change how streaming services are done in Africa.
