Tope Olowoniyan wins King of Boys 2 challenge

Tope Olowoniyan is the winner “King of Boys 2” challenge.

Nollywood actress and presenter, Tope Olowoniyan has been declared winner of the King of Boys Stay at the Home Challenge, an intense, Malta Guinness-supported acting competition.

On Sunday night August 10, Tope was declared winner, on Instagram Live by Kemi Adetiba, the critically acclaimed author and director of the film and a representative of Malta Guinness.

In addition to playing a major role in the sequel to the King of Boys, Ms. Adetiba also announced that Tope Olowoniyan will also receive other perks and awards from the promoters of the film.

Kemi Adetiba applauded Tope ‘s success and the quality of her entry to the competition, said the KOB team would give Tope “a very strong role” in the film, indicating that production would start very soon.

Speaking about the win, the Kogi State-born Tope Olowoniyan said she was overjoyed, honored and overwhelmed.

“I can’t believe it! Is this really happening? Oh my Goodness …” She said it was a great honor just to be selected, but ultimately winning was the best thing that happened to her in the year 2020.

Remember that the recent Nollywood remake, Rattlesnake, also secured a role for Tope Olowoniyan. She has featured in a variety of Nigerian series including Tinsel, Battleground, and the Diary of Jenifa.

King of Boys 1, a Nigerian political thriller written and directed by Kemi Adetiba, was arguably the biggest blockbuster of 2019 for Nigeria. The film won multiple AMVCA categories. 2021 is expected to see the highly anticipated sequel.
